Hand polishing requires many years of training and experience to perform at the required skill level safely.
The most common finishes are the following but there are many variations that fall in between.
- #4 brush
- #6 brush which is slightly finer than a #4
- 32 RA which is common in the food industry and also referred to as “Sanitary Finish” or “3A”
- 15-20 RA which is common in the pharmaceutical industry
- #8 mirror which is highly reflective
